Shoulder to Shoulder
Measure straight across your back from the outer edge of one shoulder to the outer edge of the other shoulder, following your natural shoulder curve.

Measure straight down from the widest part of your chest to your natural waistline (where you wear your belt).

Women's dresses and apron dresses (hangerock) typically fell to ankle length, as documented in grave finds from Birka, Haithabu, and other Viking Age settlements.
